Robbie, Fiona along with their amazing team operate a small collection of beautiful places to stay around Durness and Loch Eriboll. The Mackay’s Collection offers groups, families & Individuals the opportunity to leave their everyday world behind in the Scottish Highland’s remote far flung north west corner. Local and very proud of the spectacular wild Atlantic coastal location known as Mackay Country. Team Mackay work tirelessly offering guests modern luxury with old fashioned warmth and hospitality. It all start with good design. Each property is different from the next but all are modern, stylish and minimal, with a keen eye and appreciation for detail; it’s all about quality, quality, quality.
As well as an eclectic mix of special places to stay Team Mackay also operate the amazing Durness Village Shop a truly amazing village store and more… with an emphasis of local, seasonal produce which accommodates even the most alternative of tastes.
The Mackay ethos is simple and strong, to preserve and share the amazing place we are lucky enough to call home.

Sustainability is at the heart of our development and we are in constant pursuit to improve efficiency, reduce waste and find local sustainable ways to do things which help keep our and our communities future viable.
